This series of assemblages and mixed-media works explore phenomenas like memory and time through prism of childhood memories growing up in post-soviet aesthetical environment. Rich natural structure of material objects used in this series illustrates the decay, loss of actuality.

Combined with black and white prints, “decollaged” and overpainted images depict concrete buildings and industrial post-soviet landscapes.

Uncompromisingness, the scale and energy of the works brings a fear of confrontation with unforgiving passage of time to mind, while at the same time subversively demonstrating the potential for the object to sustain or even gain on it’s original power despite losing it’s intentional functionality.
